Hosting provider LITE·HOST has launched a new security service for websites, delivered as WAF as SaaS. The cloud-based system can be hooked up not only to sites hosted on the company’s servers but also to projects running on any third-party hosting.
How it works
Armed with a blacklist of more than 1.75 million suspicious IP addresses, the service fends off the usual suspects: vulnerability scanners, brute-force attempts, spammy requests, and targeted attacks on popular CMS platforms.
To make things a bit more entertaining, the service comes with multiple protection modes: “anti-bot,” “anti-attack,” “threat protection,” and even “under attack” — for when hackers decide to throw a party you didn’t ask for.
Key features include:
-
granular filtering by country, IP, ASN, and User Agent;
-
event logs and live statistics in the control panel;
-
service pages available in eight languages.
Websites can be connected in two ways: via ALIAS record in external DNS or by using LITE·HOST’s own DNS servers.
Pricing
