Hosting provider FirstVDS has announced the launch of a new virtual server location. From now on, VDS instances can be deployed not just “around the corner” but right in the heart of Almaty — at the Ahost.kz data center.
A data center with attitude
Ahost.kz isn’t a “warehouse with blinking lights” — it’s a modern facility equipped with dual independent power feeds, advanced cooling, and a gas-based fire suppression system that puts out fires far more gracefully than a neighbor with a bucket of water. Add to that 24/7 multi-level security, and the infrastructure looks rock solid.
Hardware and pricing
All VDS in Almaty run on Intel Xeon Scalable processors with clock speeds up to 4.1 GHz. The entry-level “Start” plan costs 444 rubles per month (about $5.5) and includes one CPU core, 2 GB RAM, and 40 GB of NVMe storage. For those who prefer custom builds over pre-set combos, the flexible “VDS Forsage” plan allows you to assemble your own configuration.
Each server in Almaty comes with an unlimited 100 Mbps channel. Pricing is aligned with other FirstVDS data centers, so no surprises there.
