Hosting provider Beget has expanded its range of cloud products by adding a brand-new CDN service. The system is designed to deliver content faster across the globe and take some pressure off websites and web apps that have been running “at full throttle” for too long.

A CDN (Content Delivery Network) works by caching static content and distributing it among servers located in different regions. Users receive data from the nearest node, which drastically reduces latency. As a bonus, it also helps fend off DDoS attacks — since requests to the content are handled by the CDN’s distributed network instead of hitting the main server directly.

Faster, tougher, calmer

The new service doesn’t just make sites faster — it makes them tougher. If one caching server goes down, another one nearby automatically picks up the slack. The system keeps websites accessible even during peak traffic — that rare and beautiful moment when “everyone shows up at once, and nothing crashes.”

To keep data safe, HTTPS encryption is included out of the box, so communication between users and the CDN remains secure without any extra setup. And for those who like fine-tuning, Beget’s CDN also offers extras like geo-restricted access, image compression, and video streaming support.

For those who read the manuals

Beget has prepared detailed guides on how to set up and use the new CDN service, as well as integration manuals for popular CMS platforms including WordPress, Joomla, Bitrix, OpenCart, and MODX. All of them are available in the company’s knowledge base.

In short, Beget’s CDN isn’t just another checkbox in the product list — it’s a tool that makes the web a bit faster, sturdier, and less stressful for everyone tired of staring at the eternal “loading...” screen.
