LITE·HOST Adds Python Support to Shared Hosting, Expanding Use Cases Beyond Websites

LITE·HOST has rolled out Python support on its shared web hosting platform, allowing customers to run applications built with Django and Flask, as well as Telegram bots and other background Python scripts. Supported Python versions range from 3.9 to 3.13, covering both long-term stability and the latest language features.

Applications are launched via Passenger in WSGI mode, which means shared hosting can now handle not only traditional websites, but also APIs, bots, and auxiliary services. In other words, shared hosting is no longer limited to HTML, PHP, and polite silence.

From Bots to APIs, Without Leaving Shared Hosting

With Python enabled, LITE·HOST’s shared hosting becomes suitable for a wider set of scenarios. Django can be used for full-scale web applications, Flask fits lightweight services, and Telegram bots can run as background processes without the need for a separate VPS. It is a reminder that “shared” does not automatically mean “primitive.”

Pricing for Python-enabled shared hosting starts at approximately $5.50 per year. The entry-level plan includes 1 GB of disk space, one database, free SSL certificates, SSH access, and basic protection against bots and attacks, with support for hosting a single website. More advanced plans offer up to 50 GB of storage, minimal limits on databases and websites, and, in some cases, a bundled domain name.

As an additional detail, users with a Russian phone number can access a 10-day test period, allowing them to explore the platform’s capabilities before committing long-term.

Overall, the update subtly shifts shared hosting from a “just enough for a site” option toward a more flexible environment that can quietly handle scripts, services, and bots in the background—without asking for a separate server.
