The Vikings Upgraded the Server Room: 4VPS·SU Relaunches Denmark VPS on AMD EPYC

Hosting provider 4VPS·SU has announced the relaunch of its virtual server offering in Denmark. The Copenhagen location has returned with updated infrastructure — this time powered by AMD EPYC 7713 processors and NVMe storage.

On paper, the location remains the same. In practice, the hardware underneath it has changed. The company has essentially rebuilt the platform with newer server components. If the previous setup handled workloads well enough, the new one is expected to handle them with noticeably more headroom.

New Infrastructure: EPYC and NVMe

The refreshed platform is based on AMD EPYC 7713 processors from the Milan generation. This is the kind of CPU that clearly prefers busy environments rather than quiet ones.

Key specifications include:

  • 64 physical cores and 128 threads

  • Base clock around 2.0 GHz

  • Boost frequency up to about 3.7 GHz

  • Support for eight-channel DDR4 memory

  • Zen 3 architecture built on a 7 nm process

In the server world, numbers like these usually translate into comfortable handling of virtualization workloads and heavily multi-threaded tasks.

The servers also rely on NVMe SSD storage, which is typically chosen when latency and disk throughput matter. In simpler terms, the storage subsystem is unlikely to become the bottleneck when traffic or compute loads suddenly decide to test the patience of system administrators.

Who the Denmark Location Is For

According to the company, the updated Danish location is primarily aimed at projects targeting users in Northern Europe.

Typical use cases include:

  • gaming servers with audiences in Scandinavia;

  • websites and services that require fast loading speeds in Denmark, Norway, and Germany;

  • bots and online services designed for European users.

Copenhagen has long been a convenient infrastructure hub for the northern part of the continent. Network routes from the region tend to be efficient, so latency for nearby countries often stays comfortably low — in a typically Scandinavian, drama-free fashion.

In short, 4VPS·SU has relaunched its Danish location with new hardware under the hood. The map still shows the same Copenhagen pin, but the servers behind it are now equipped to handle workloads with considerably more muscle — rather like a longship upgraded with a modern engine while still sailing the same cold northern waters.
