РусскийHosting provider H2·NEXUS updated the functionality of its free temporary server. Users can now launch a virtual machine with NVIDIA RTX graphics cards directly in a web browser window. The service requires no additional software installation or account registration.
The new configuration ensures operation at 1080p resolution and 60 frames per second. This turns the browser into a full-fledged terminal for testing graphical applications or games. The user receives root access to an isolated machine built on AMD EPYC processors. The client gets 4 cores, 8 GB of RAM, and 60 GB on fast NVMe drives. The network channel has a bandwidth of 1 Gbps.
A Life Spanning a Quarter of an Hour
The main limitation of the service is time. The server exists for exactly 15 minutes. After this timer expires, the machine and all data are automatically deleted. This approach relieves users of the need to clean up their digital traces. Code experiments, Linux studies, or Windows Server checks take place in a safe environment that self-destructs as soon as the allotted time ends.
Clients with active RdpBot services receive extended privileges. For them, the operating time is increased to 30 minutes, and the launch priority is higher than standard.
Market Context
Such initiatives appear on the market periodically. Previously, the provider Aéza offered a similar service called "Terminator," but the company decided to abandon this practice in June. H2·NEXUS continues to experiment with the format of instant access to cloud resources. It remains to be seen how long the provider can sustain the distribution of expensive GPU time without monetization.
