UFO·Hosting has announced the launch of a new VPS location in Israel, marking the provider's first notable infrastructure expansion since a major disruption in late May that dramatically reshaped its service portfolio. To accompany the launch, the company is offering a 25% discount on virtual servers in the new location.
A New Location After a Difficult Chapter
The announcement carries extra significance because it follows one of the most challenging periods in the provider's recent history.
At the end of May, UFO·Hosting became one of several hosting companies affected by a large-scale law enforcement operation in the Netherlands. Dutch investigators seized more than 800 servers as part of an investigation into alleged sanctions evasion involving organizations reportedly connected to previously sanctioned hosting businesses.
Although the investigation was not directed at customers themselves, the consequences were immediate. UFO·Hosting users reported inaccessible VPS instances and data loss, while the provider was forced to suspend its dedicated server offerings altogether. Its once extensive VPS geography also shrank dramatically, leaving only Russia, India, and Kazakhstan available for new deployments. A provider that previously offered dozens of locations suddenly looked as though someone had pressed the "minimize window" button on its global map.
The appearance of Israel as a new VPS location therefore represents one of the first visible signs that the company is rebuilding its international infrastructure.
Israel Targets Regional Connectivity
According to UFO·Hosting, the new location is designed to improve connectivity and reduce latency for projects serving users across Israel and the wider Middle East.
Hosting infrastructure in Israel is typically well suited for:
- web services targeting Israeli customers;
- SaaS platforms serving the Middle East;
- business applications requiring lower latency within the region;
- international projects that need an additional deployment point between Europe and Asia.

For workloads focused on regional audiences, physical proximity often delivers greater benefits than chasing server specifications that look impressive in a marketing brochure but cannot outrun the speed of light.
Launch Promotion
To celebrate the new location, UFO·Hosting is offering a 25% discount on new VPS deployments in Israel. The company says the promotion is intended for customers launching new services or expanding existing infrastructure into the region.
Whether this marks the beginning of a broader recovery remains to be seen, but after weeks dominated by outage reports and infrastructure reductions, the addition of a new country suggests UFO.Hosting is once again attempting to expand rather than merely recover.
