Provider h2·nexus has concluded that its clients are feeling cramped in the communal apartments of virtual machines and has rolled out a bare metal server rental service. The company promises that managing physical hardware will be just as straightforward as working with standard VPS instances. Behind the scenes sits the DCImanager 6 panel, offering a familiar arsenal: deployment recipes, OS installation (up to and including Windows Server), and the ability to boot from a custom ISO. The package also includes full IPMI access, a console, and a free BGP session.

The initial configuration is built around an Intel Xeon processor. The machine's specifications are as follows:

Traffic Economics and Geography

The financial model relies on a Pay-as-you-go principle, which usually gives accountants a nervous tic, but here everything is remarkably transparent. The base rental cost is $99 per month, with a one-time $29 setup fee added to the first order. This price already includes 30 TB of traffic, with each additional terabyte costing $1. The provider claims that port speed is never throttled, and traffic is accounted for only in the predominant direction.

Currently, the servers are available for order in data centers across Germany and Poland. The company's near-term plans include expanding its geographic footprint to Finland.
